The time has come when the U15 girls Hampshire season has come to an end.  We have had an amazing journey with the squad who came together really well over the 3 training sessions and subsequent festivals as a coaching team it was great to see and be part of.

The girls should be very proud of their achievements over the last few weeks, especially learning new skills for 7’s and X7’s which they have all flourished in and the making of new friends along the way, I’m sure all your club and school coaches are also very proud to have had a part in developing your skills and love of the game.

All the festivals were held in the true spirit of rugby with the coming together of 4 counties all working towards empowering girls rugby.

This weekend was our last and held at Petersfield RFC, with no 15 aside game the challenge was to play full sevens and X7 on the same day. Our full squad was split into two smaller squads of reds and blues and they each had 6 games and both squads done very well, playing some great rugby and being very creative with their attack and defence. With the sun shining down on us the day got very hot and tiring but with both squads getting a win with their last games it finished this years under 15 girls season on a high with all girls looking forward to future development in the game and trialling for Hampshire again.
