TROJANS FC LADIES VACANCY - ASSISTANT HEAD COACH
A unique opportunity to join the coaching team of Trojans Ladies who are looking for ambitious,
inspiring and experienced Coaches to support the newly appointed Head coach for the 2017/2018
season.
The successful applicant will help oversee and deliver high quality coaching to both the 1st and
2nd ladies teams. They will assist the head coach with setting clear goals to develop the growth of both
the players within the ladies and girls section. The Ladies have a wide range of abilities within the
squad, from those who have never played before to those who are extremely experienced players and
all have the ethos to work hard, learn and develop.
Trojans Ladies 1s are an established and dynamic team competing in Championship South with the
aspiration of competing in the new women’s Super League. The 2s team have just completed a
successful season in the Merit league and will be looking to compete at National Championship level
next season. Last season Trojans Ladies 1s finished second in the Championship South league and the
2s finished top of the Merit League.
The ladies have developed close links with local universities and have attracted players from military
bases across the South coast. The squad is made up of both new and experienced players that show a
desire to improve and a commitment to training and competing.
The coach will work closely with the head coach, coaching team, the Team Managers, Team Captains
and club committee.
Applicants should have;
Minimum of a Level 2 Rugby Union Coaching Qualification
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Approachable and good with people
Enthusiastic yet patient coach to help develop players of all experience levels
Be hardworking and trustworthy
Personal satisfaction in leading and motivating a strong and successful team
Coaching Expectations:
Work with the Head Coach to develop a plan for the season
Support with any additional coaching/CPD opportunities
Assist with coaching sessions on a Tuesday/Thursday evenings 7-9pm and Sunday matches
Plan and deliver fun, engaging training sessions, pre-match, match and post-match support
on game days
Assist with the team selection and tactics
Assist in developing
the women’s game at the Club through recruitment and retention of new and
experienced players
the top end players to work on their personal skill set
the team spirit throughout the squad
