Former County Colts Joe Batley and Joe Marchant both played in England Under 20's 26-11 win against Scotland last Friday (3rd April) and are in line for 6 Nations title medals writes Brian Seeney.

England now top the table with the final match in Brighton against France this Friday night (13th).

Marchant, formerly of Winchester RFC (now Harlequins) played the entire game and Batley (ex Gosport & Fareham and now Gloucester Rugby) came on as a 68th minute replacement.

Head Coach Jon Callard said the win over Scotland was "was very much a game of two halves".

He said:" I felt like we did very well in the first 40, we pinned Scotland back and scored some nice tries. But credit to them, they came back at us in the second and caused us problems.

"We come away from the game a little disappointed - of course it's great to get the win, but we always want to put in a good performance and I think we left a bit out there."
