1. Trojans First Team Manager and Coaches Required -

Trojans are looking to recruit a first team manager and a number of coaches to help across their 3 men's teams.

The teams are making good progress but require more support as part of a men's coaching unit led by the Head coach.

Please contact Stefan Hargrave (07957450088 This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) to discuss further.

2. Master, Legends; Vets; and Side line Supporter  - Keep Your Boots on Floodlight Festival

In Conjunction with Hampshire RFU the England Ruby Community Team and Millbrook RFC (Host Club) clubs in the Soutahampton, New Forest and IOW have been invited to the inaugural Master, Legends; Vets; and Side line Supporter - Keep Your Boots on Floodlight Festivalthat will be held at Millbrook RFC on Friday 28th October commencing at 1900 -2100

The type of player encouraged to participate in the team should be obvious: Master, Legends; Vets; and Side line Supporter!! The idea is to provide social rugby and engage players who perhaps are not playing competitive Saturday Rugby anymore but would still like to ‘Keep their Boots On’ and have a run out against likeminded (and like bodied) opponents.

Format:  The aim of the evening is to de regulate / dumb down the rules and provided appropriate competition depending on the number and ability of those players involved.

Squad Size:  If possible a minimum of 7 and a maximum of 15-18

Rules:  Rules of the game will be amended to accommodate 7-10 players on the pitch at any one time.  Games will be played on half a pitch.  Rolling subs will be encouraged and rules will be implemented to ensure a level playing field for teams participating.

Competition Co-ordinator: Rules and timings for the games will be confirmed and circulated by Mark Randell ahead of the event and once all entries have been received.  The first game will start at 1900 and the playing time will finish no later than 2100, to allow plenty of time for banter with the opposition and team mates over a well-earned beer!

Expression of Interest:  To date the following clubs have expressed an interest; Tottonians (Hoping to develop a 5th XV) Stoneham (Engaging players and developing a 2nd XV); Trojans (Developing their 3rd XV); Millbrook (Hoping to develop a 3rd XV); Lymington Mariners(Engaging players and developing a 2nd XV)

If you haven’t already done so please firm up your expression of interest by contacting Mark Randell no later than Friday 30th September

6.  HAMPSHIRE U18 Trial Invitation – LAST CALL:

Nominations are starting to come through.

Would you please forward this information to your appropriate colleagues, coaches and players.

It is a Divisionalyear for this age group and I would not wish for any player to miss out on this opportunity to compete for a County place which is one of the selection  pathways into the divisional squad:  Find attached invitation letter for Hampshire U18 trial and an outline for their 2016-17 program.  Although one might anticipate that the bulk of last season’s U17 squad will make it into this year’s U18 squad, experience shows that developing players will challenge for places and 45%) of that U17 squad had not played for Hampshire U16’s in the 2013-14 season!    So please e-mail  (Mike Greenslade This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.  (Mob: 07415 294961).   )

Deadline: has been extended to close of play Sunday 25th  September Note:  players need to ensure that they have been nominated by either their College or Club coach.  When providing nominations please include Name, DoB, normal position and e-mail contact of each player.
