Age Grade Rugby Review Roadshow:
Last week England Rugby reminded the game that changes to Age Grade Rugby are coming from September 2016 with personalised emails to over 35000 key volunteers in clubs and education establishments. England Rugby will commence the rollout campaign and will be delivering a national Age Grade Rugby Roadshow starting in Mid-February.
They will come to Hampshire on Tuesday 23rd February at Eastleigh RFC (Bishopstoke Rd, Eastleigh SO50 6LA).
The evening will commence at 1900 and finish at 2100. The events are open to those in clubs, schools, colleges and will again provide key information on the changes and practical advice to implement these.

Communities of Practice Phase 2:
Followingthefirst Communities of Practise evening held on the 1stDecemberI would like to report that the evening was a huge success.

We have now had the ‘talking shop’ and phase two will be focused on the below 4 points with the aim being to share models of good practise.
‘You only know what you know’! and also identify what projects / support can be provided and implemented by Hampshire RFU along with the support of the England Rugby Community Development team to help our clubs.

Reporting Concussion / Serious Injury:
HRFU are this year looking at statistics for concussions both in the Youth and Adult game.
Reports are coming in regularly from the youth game but only 6 adult concussions have been reported to date (4 from Portsmouth RFC).
Could all clubs please be reminded to report any concussions to Hampshire RFU-

Also in the event of a serious injury (resulting in an overnight hospitalisation, loss of limb or death of a player) please directly notify the RFU using the serious injuries form .
