 As recently reported on:

Utilising CARDS -  (Creativity, Awareness, Decision Making, Resilience, Self-Organising) within your coaching is a key tool to helping players of all ages develop. The England Academy Coaches John Fletcher, Peter Walton & Russel Earnshaw have been integral to rolling this program out and educating all our Community Coaches.  I am confident that you will find the session enlightening and engaging. The CPD is applicable to coaches at all levels of the game.

  1. First Aid CPD:  

 

For your awareness there is a First Aid CPD being held at Fordingbridge RFC on Wed 6th & Wed 13th December, 6.30pm - 10.00pm  on both days Places are still available

Course Outline: The EFARU provides learners with the skills, knowledge and understanding required to give care and manage minor injuries and illness and potentially life threatening conditions specifically focusing on those occurring in a rugby environment. The EFARU course sits on the national qualification framework and is recognised as an equivalent to the Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and is transferable into the work place. The course includes extra rugby specific elements and is designed for coaches, referees and volunteers who are designated as a first aider and are responsible for providing pitch side cover at both training and matches.

  • o Venue: Fordingbridge Rugby Club, The Recreation Ground, Fordingbridge, SP6 1AN

o   Cost: £50

o   Age:  You must be 16+ on the day of the course

 

 

  1. NatWest RugbyForce returns for 2018:   

 

Please find below information on the NatWest RugbyForce 2018 which is officially launched today:  Thursday 30 November 2017.  Please note the changes to this year’s programme.  Could I encourage all clubs to  register ASAP and do not leave it until the deadline 4thFebruary 2018.  

 

Clubs that register for NatWest RugbyForce 2018 can look forward to receiving a host of exciting rewards and benefits, from online toolkits, to marketing and communications advice and access to special offers – all to help clubs become successful businesses.

NatWest RugbyForce 2018 weekend will take place on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th June 2018 and promises to be another great event bringing the rugby family and local communities together.

Register by 4th February 2018: It pays to sign up early for NatWest RugbyForce.  270 clubs registering before 4thFebruary will have the opportunity to take part in a new and improved workshop, as well as being in with a chance of receiving financial support and exciting prizes.

The rewards for registering by 4th February 2018 include:

-          Support packages of £750 awarded to 270 clubs who are selected to attend one of the NEW NatWest RugbyForce workshops.  The workshop will concentrate on running a community open day to help raise awareness of your club locally and aid player and volunteer recruitment alongside videos and case studies of previous successful projects.  £500 of the grant will be towards the DIY weekend with £250 towards your open day.

-          In a new addition for 2018, six clubs will have the opportunity to receive a  large grant of £5,000 and a support package including personalised recommendations from experts covering one of the following:

o   Pitch Maintenance Kick Start – pitch renovation support for your club.

o   Energy Smart – helping your club be more energy efficient and reduce expenditure.

o   Transform Your Social Space – bespoke interior design advice to have maximum impact.

o   A Place to Play for All – focusing on the growth of women and girls rugby and ensuring your venue is accessible to all.

o   Safe Place – bringing health and safety to the forefront both on and off the pitch.

o   Young Person (U24) led project – bring a youth perspective and encourage your Young Ambassadors to take the lead on your NWRF project.

o   The chance to win an England Rugby legend to join your NatWest RugbyForce weekend in June.
